How to Use the eShepherd Mobile App to Turn On Virtual Paddocks

This guide will walk you through the process of using the eShepherd mobile app to activate virtual paddocks for your animals.

Step 1: Download and Install the App

• Download the eShepherd mobile app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
• Search for "eShepherd" and install the app on your device.

Step 2: Launch the App

• Open the app on your mobile device.
• Log in using your credentials.
• Upon logging in, you’ll be taken your configured property.

Step 3: Navigate to the Mobs Menu

• Tap on the Mobs menu to view all available mobs.
• Select the mob you want to assign to a virtual paddock.
• Confirm your selection by checking the animal icon's colour matches the mob’s colour

Step 4: View Active Paddocks

• Zoom out on the map to see all active and predefined virtual paddocks.

Step 5: Select the Next Virtual Paddock

• Tap on the virtual paddock you want to activate.
• A menu will appear, allowing you to choose from a list of predefined paddocks.
• Slide through the options to find the virtual paddock you want to activate.

Step 6: Activate the Paddock

• Once you’ve selected the desired paddock, slide the toggle or slider to activate it.
• A notification will appear asking for confirmation. Confirm your choice by selecting Yes.

Step 7: Verify the Activation

• After activation, both the current and next virtual paddocks will appear as active on the map.
• This is normal during the transition period, that can take 30 minutes or longer.
• Wait for all neck bands to report back that they are in the new paddock. Once this is complete, the previous paddock will automatically deactivate.

Step 8: Exit the Menu

• Close the menu by tapping the cross button at the bottom of the screen.
• Return to the home screen for further operations or to monitor the status.
