What do the blinking LEDs mean?

The Neckband has a single LED indicator on the side. This LED can blink in different colours and at different rates to indicate the operating state of the Neckband.

LED is blinking ORANGE - this means that the Neckband is attempting to connect to the network.

  • For a cellular Neckband, the network connection can take anywhere from 10 minutes to over an hour.
  • For a LoRa Neckband, the connection process can take several hours.

Once the connection has been established, the LED will start blinking GREEN.

LED is blinking RED - Pay close attention to the blinking pattern - a single blink means that the Neckband has not been able to establish a network connection. If this state persists, contact customer support.

LED is double blinking RED - if the LED blinks twice in quick succession (repeatedly) then this means that the battery charge is too low for the Neckband to begin operation. Please leave the Neckband out in full sunlight to continue charging the battery.

LED is blinking GREEN - Once the network connection is established and the battery charge is sufficient for normal operation, the LED will start blinking Green.

Notes about the LED Blink Rate

When you first unhibernate the Neckband, the LED will blink quickly (twice every second). This FAST blink rate will remain for the first 90 minutes but will then slow down to one blink every 10 seconds.

The intention of this FAST blink rate is to make it easier for you to determine the state of the Neckband during setup (waiting for 10 seconds to see the LED colour can really slow you down when dealing with many devices).

⚠️Please note that the changes to these blink rates are being introduced in later firmware versions! Essentially, the LED will remain ON for a shorter period, but it will blink more frequently. The meaning of the different colours remains unchanged.
