How-to Turn Neckbands On and Off

Turning your neckbands on and off is done with a magnet key. Here's how to do both, and what the LED colours mean.

Turning a neckband on

  1. Find the LED window on one of the flat sides of the neckband.
  2. Hold your magnet key on the orange strip next to the LED window.
  3. As soon as you hear the rising tone melody, take the magnet away.

The LED will start blinking. The colour tells you what's happening.

Tip: if one magnet key doesn't do it, try holding two against the neckband at the same time.

What the LED colour means

LED

What it means

What to do

🟠 Blinking orange

Connecting to the network

Wait. Cellular takes 10 minutes to an hour. LoRa can take several hours.

🟢 Blinking green

Connected and charged

Nothing — the neckband is ready to go.

🔴 One red blink

Can't reach the network

If it stays like this, contact customer support.

🔴 Two quick red blinks

Battery too low to start

Leave the neckband out in full sunlight to charge.

Note: the LED blinks fast (twice a second) for the first 90 minutes, then slows to once every 10 seconds.

Turning a neckband off (hibernating)

  1. Hold your magnet key next to the LED window. The LED turns purple straight away.
  2. The neckband beeps once a second for 5 seconds.
  3. When you hear the descending tone melody, take the magnet away.
  4. The LED stops blinking — the neckband is now asleep.

Note: packing your system away for a long stretch? Follow our winter hibernation advice.

⚠️ Some of these blinking patterns change in later firmware versions.
