Mob changes now handle neckband activations automatically

What's New

3 June 2026

When you move animals between mobs, remove them from a mob, or delete a mob, eShepherd now automatically handles Virtual Paddock activation and deactivation for you.

Why this matters

Previously, this was a manual step and forgetting to do it could cause an animal to have a different Virtual Paddock from the rest of the mob. Now it just works.

What eShepherd does for you

Removing animals from a mob

Select the animals you want to remove from the mob, select Change Mob > Remove from Mob, and Confirm. eShepherd will deactivate the Virtual Paddock for the selected animals and remove them from the mob.

Moving animals to a different mob

Select the animals you want to move to a different mob, select Change Mob > Choose Mob and Confirm. eShepherd will update the animals and assign the same Virtual Paddock as the chosen mob.

Deleting a mob

Select the mob you want to delete, and select Delete. eShepherd will un-mob and deactivate the Virtual Paddock for the selected animals.

Clearer confirmation messages

You'll see updated confirmation messages that tell you the actions that will be applied to the animals.

Please contact your Customer Success Team if you have any further questions or requests.

Thank you,

eShepherd Team
