How to Turn On Push Notifications in the Mobile App
This article shows you how to turn on and manage push notifications in the eShepherd mobile app, so you get timely alerts about your animals, neckbands, and Virtual Paddocks straight to your phone.
||This guide is for the eShepherd mobile app. Push notification settings are managed from the mobile app only.||
Step 1. From the map screen, tap the menu icon (hamburger icon) in the top left corner. | Step 2. Tap Settings. | Step 3. On the Settings screen, scroll down to find Push Notifications. |

Step 4. Tap the Push Notifications toggle to turn it on. This reveals a list of notification categories: Animal welfare, Animal behaviour, VP temporarily disabled, and Activation status. | Step 5. Tap the toggle next to each notification category you want to receive. | Step 6. For Animal behaviour, tap Edit (pencil icon) to set your own thresholds for animal count, distance, and time, then tap Save. |

Note: A Saved successfully message appears at the top of the screen each time you update your notification settings. Also, this setting applies to the property the user has opened, not all property.
Summary
You can now turn on push notifications in the eShepherd mobile app and choose which categories you want to hear about, including animal welfare, animal behaviour, VP status, and activation status. You can revisit Settings at any time to adjust your thresholds or turn categories on and off.
